New Name for the Kamikaze

In honor of the one year anniversary of September 11th, I suggest give the tragedy our respects and change the name of the "Kamikaze" to the "World Trade Center Explosion!" I also suggest that the exclamation mark be included in the drink's name always.

many people probably wont read this as its the last review but i think this drink is an amazing example of an easy drink to make that isnt too complex but has a fine simplicity, a good call.
P.S. to all the insane americans giving trouble to everyone about the title of the drink shut up for christs sake, its a drink not a declaration of war, i think its probably better to enjoy it as a simple drink rather than search for fear.

it's only a drink! try not to read in to the name. but if one really wants to, this is the meaning as discribed my Merriam-Webster. kamikaze is a Japanese word which literally means "divine wind". in 1945, the word got the history of an airplane containing explosives to be flown in a suicide crash on a target because of a Japanese air attack corps in World War II assigned to make a suicidal crash on a target.

Tonight was the first night that I have had the pleasure of enjoying a Kamikaze. I only had enough Triple Sec to make myself 2, so after those 2 I had 4 Shiner Bocks...that was a bit of a mistake. I was surprised at the buzz I got off such small ammounts of alcohol. A definite A+ drink for any drinker.

Another good way to have this drink is to mix 1 1/2 Absolut Citron w/ 1 1/2 Triple Sec, pour over ice, fill with ginger ale and add fresh squeezed lime juice. To make it a little more fun, substitute Blue Curacao for a Blue Kamikaze.

What can I say... last weekend I was out partying and had lots to drink but the Kamkiaze's where the best... Smooth going down.. Gets the head a spinning and then some... I had 4-5 in about an hour... needless to say.. I didn't need to drink more... but I did and I don't remember how many and my friends won't tell me

I drank this for the first time last night. My sister recommended it when I didn't want to be drunk. My mistake.. trusting blood. They were so good I had 3 in 20 minutes. I didn't feel anything and was going back for another, when "boom". It kicked in and kicked my ass. I had more, because I just couldn't resist. Never been so drunk in my life, got sick.. but surprise surprise.. next day.. like nothing happened. Great to enjoy with no hangover.

I had my first Kamikaze last night and I have to say...it's the best drink i've tasted. It's now my personal favorite. Within the first hour I had 5 Kamikaze's. Didn't feel a thing, until later on when it hit me HARD. I've never been that drunk in my life. BEST NIGHT I'VE HAD! And I woke up without a hangover! This drink just owns. I recommend it to everybody.

This is a drink for any time! When I am out and I am not sure what I am in the mood for, I order a kamikaze and am always glad. It is so simple to make and goes down easy. It tastes great and is does not take forever for the bar tender to make. It also looks great in a cute glass and can be taken down as a shot or sipped. I think it is a great drink and anyone would enjoy it.

THis is the best drink to drink. Its what starts my drinking at the bar and ends my drinking too, and who am I kidding, I drink it in the middle too. Its a little sour but thats what makes it so good. My sis doesnt drink, and yet she still likes this drink. You should all go have one right now!

I love to drink Peach Kamikazes. The drink last a little longer (most of the time), so that is what I usually start out with. Then after a few of them I move on to the shots. Don't get me wrong Kamikazes are good, but Peach Kamikazes are AWESOME!!

The triple sec accents the vodka well, try taking it without the lime juice... bad idea. A dash of lime juice masks the taste well. But im not fond of the flavour lingering in my mouth. Get vodka, triple sec, and peach shcnaps, so you can make sex on the beach too!

After having 4 shots of tequilla within 2 minutes and later on having a 3-shot glass shot of tequilla all on an empty stomache so I knew I was going to get completely wasted. So when some people were making vodka kamakazi's I thought why not? I downed it very easily and I woke up this morning with absolutely no hangover and I believe it is due to the kamakazi... amazing drink, my new favorite.

i assume you wanted the 5 gallon kazi recipie to haze some pledges on a shot block so here is a cheap way, if you try this without at least a 4 foot block of shot block ice though it tastes like crap: 1 liter real lime juice, 1.75 vodka, 4 cans frozen orange juice, 1 pound sugar, pour all ingrediants in 5 pound bucket. stir with drill with a (preferably cleanish) thinset or paint stiring attachment. slowly add warm water to top. (if water is not warm sugar will not desolve and that sucks) remember to have puke buckets near shotblock or your lodge will have a slimey floor. dump leftover kazi mix in puke bucket at end of night and pour over the first pledge to pass out.

Kamikazes are dangerious for 2 reasons: 1) After 4 or 5 you are wiped out; 2) There is no hangover, at least for me, therefore I am having 4 or 5 that night. You can drink these 8 days a weak.

I had 10 of these at the bar on halloween. 5 back to back then 3 about 20 minutes later and another 2 about 20 minutes after that. I drunk dialed my boyfriend at home in the US and lets say I told him somethings that I shouldn't have which might get me in trouble when I get back. However the drink is great and i woke up with not a hangover the first....damn i love these.

I enjoy this godaceous nectar at our annual Pearl Harbor party which is the Sunday prior to or on Dec. 7 at 7:55 AM. We toss down shots after yelling "bonsi"! There are many other rituals involved in this annual event, including biscuits and gravy, bloody marys and Hawaiin or Navy clothes, but this is the tastiest!
