Smooth and Strong

This is an excellent drink that goes down smooth, yet it gets you drunk fast if you start pounding them. The two shots of vodka and the shot of coffee liquor balance out the taste and makes sure there is a good percentage of alcohol in the drink. I would recommend using Kahlua for the coffee liquor because it is a particularly sweet liquor that gives the drink a more distinct taste.

Quite possibly the most wonderful drink i have ever had. I first tried it at my cousins wedding and havent been able to get it off my mind since. I agree that Kahlua is a wonderful thing to use and i found that double cream is better than light. try it, you won't be disappointed.

Try it with skim or homogenized milk instead. It makes for an excellent long drink, somewhat lighter in taste than the cream version. It tastes something like café latté but a bit weaker. Try 2 oz Kahlúa, 2 oz vodka, and 4 oz of milk - sweet.

i've made it replacing the cream with store bought egg nog. it was very very nice and aromatic with the spices in the eggnog. a friend tried the same thing only using soynog (egg nog made with soymilk) and she said that it was nice because it wasn't as thick. hence, i suggest trying egg nog.

To the person who asked about a Black Russian, I think they are great; better than White depending on my mood. But you need to mix them yourself, not get the pre-mix in the bottle. Also, when you're out of heavy cream, you can substitute milk, though it's not quite as good. Heck, one night I ran out of Vodka, and just mixed kahlua and milk, and it still was okay.

I love white russian for tastiness and easiness to drink. To make it lighter (in fat) and sweeter with a caramel taste I prefer to use soy milk ("sun soy" or "silk soy") and Southern Comfort in place of the vodka and cow-milk...and soy milk is less likely to give me an upset stomach. Yummy!

learned it a litle different in norway we use 2 ounces vodka 2 ounces khalua and 2 ounces milk :-) served with ice and Yea its a great and tasty drink i can always drink this if nothing else works :-)

The White Russian is good drink. It goes down smoothly and packs a wallop. It is good for sipping or drinking quickly. A few years ago, I ran out of cream and scrounged for an interesting replacement. I found that Irish cream and one ounce whole milk can be used to replace the light cream. This gives a more complex taste.

A great substitute for the Vodka is Captain Morgan. The spice taste with the Kahlua is a great combo. If you like dipping your fries in a choclate milk shake, then fix up one of these the next time you get a burger and fries.

White Russians are great no matter how you look at it, but try using Raspberry Stoli instead of vodka and Bailey's Irish Cream instead of cream. Or try a classic White Russian with a shot of Buttershots. They're both great drinks for those looking for a little boost of alcohol content.

Who cares how it's spelled. EXAMPLE: Some spell "it" Marijuana and some spell it Marihuana. Either way it's spelled, the effect is still the same. Just drink it and enjoy!! I've had a lot of WR in my day, and I suggest 2 things: First, try adding some amaretto (you won't believe your taste buds!) and second, if you want more kick, use the 70 proof Kahlua (especial) instead of the regular stuff, not more vodka. Else, the flavor of the drink changes

Try This: 4 ox Absolute vodka, 2 oz. Kahlua, 4 oz milk (skim, 1%, whole-your choice--even cream or vanilla ice cream if you want). Mix with 8 oz glass full of of shaved or crushed ice. Put in blender and blend to a fine blend. Empty blender into very large insulated malt size glass. Then you have to add at least six Whole Raw Filberts. They are hard to get and are only in season for a short time. I usually order them from Berglin Nut Company if I can't get them from a liquor or grocery store. Their address is Minneapolis MN 55414. I get about four 14 oz packages and keep the extra in the freezer. Then sit down, put your Big Laubowsky DVD on and sit back and slowly sip. Dig for a Filbert every once in a while for a treat. Add the obvious intimate friend and then what a night. You end up with extreme satisfaction, no pain, and then you will sleep like a baby.

I got this recipe from an old russian witch doctor. Milk one glass of goat milk directly into the mixing container with one glass of vodka. Yes, I said - MILK - which means you get your milk directly from under the goat. Add whatever you want, but fast! You must drink it right away to avoid killing vitamins in goat milk. I tried it - with Kahlua Cream. Hmm, I had so much energy that whole day, I thought I was on drugs. Duh - I was after all drinking vodka. Not for the faint at heart.
